Hi @Teddy25 , here a little update on my case:   Two days ago the seller provided a different tracking number to PayPal (obviously a fake one). It was different than the one he sent me, and it was a DHL package shipped from Germany, even though he said that the item will be shipped from Hong Kong! My claim is currently under review by PayPal, but I don't know how long it will take for PayPal to decide a solution? Yesterday I went to my local USPS to try to obtain a statement saying that the delivery address of the shipment is not my address (the tracking number he provided to PayPal says the shipment is still in transit, but obviously won't be delivered to my address), but my USPS post office said they can't do anything about it! I then emailed USPS and DHL, but I am yet to hear back from them. What should I do? How can I get the statement? ... View more

Hi there,   I'm going through a situation that is very similar to yours. I made a purchase through PayPal on March 22nd and the seller didn't provide a tracking number until almost two weeks later. The tracker showed no movement - I even emailed the shipping company and they claimed that they never received the item from the seller. Last week I opened a dispute and and immediately the seller messaged me and said very clearly that he is not willing to give me my refund. I then escalated it to a claim, and the seller sent me an email, and says that he will provide a fake tracking number to PayPal to win the case! I emailed him back and straightforwardly asked him if he was scamming me, and he said yes!!!  I've been in touch with PayPal and PayPal Community recently - seems like this fake tracking method is a common scam. If the car audio company provides a fake tracking number to PayPal and wins the case, you should contact PayPal immediately to make an appeal. They will give you some time (3-10 days) to prove that the item was not delivered to your address, so you will probably need to contact the shipping company, and get them to write you a statement that the item on the fake tracking number was not delivered to your address.  * I haven't tried this yet since my case is still open and the seller wouldn't respond (he told me he is wasting time on purpose), but this is what PayPal told me to do in case the seller provides fake tracking information. I hope this helps! ... The seller says that he won't respond until 3 weeks later, until it is the deadline for him to respond, just so that he could waste time! Is there any way to make him respond faster? Hello @Teddy25 ,   Thank you so much for the reply!  The seller is clearly a scammer (he even admitted it), and he is ridiculous and says that he won't respond to the claim until May 1st, which is the deadline for him to respond! Is there any way you guys can speed up the process? Also, I don't feel like I should even need to go through this process since the seller emailed me and told me that he is a scammer. I wish I could upload screenshots of our conversation to this message, but the picture wouldn't show up in this message. Hello everyone,   About 3 weeks ago I made a purchase through PayPal. For almost 2 weeks the seller isn't able to provide any tracking information. Last week he finally sent me a tracking number from Hong Kong Post, but since then the shipment hasn't shown any movement at all. I contacted Hong Kong Post to inquire about this shipment, and guess what - They said they never received the item from the seller! This is when I got suspicious, so two days ago I opened a dispute and asked the seller for a refund, but the seller simply refused to do so. Then I escalated this to a claim for PayPal to review, and this is where things got interesting. PayPal gave the seller until May 1st to respond, which is 3 weeks! The seller emailed me and said that he won't respond until then, just to waste time! I emailed him back and straightforwardly asked him if he was scamming me, and he said yes!!! He admitted that he is indeed scamming me, and he says that he will provide a fake tracking number to PayPal so he can win the case! We contacted through email, and I've uploaded our conversation to PayPal, but I'm not sure if anyone has even looked at it. What should I do now?
