......why was my grocery purchase declined inside b&m grocery store? i suspect it might’ve been cashier error. she told me to press green enter button without entering my pin and that should let the system know to pay from credit line. but, it was declined. i also “thought it went fine at checkout previous week at walmart when purchase transaction went thru. i of course thought it was paid from my PayPal credit line as that is set up and confirmed when I check as the primary payment method yeah I discovered just tonight when checking this recent decline that $106 was not in fact billed to my credit account but rather taken from my eBay earnings side which was my money I paid with my own money and not PayPal so not only could I not buy groceries tonight The purchase I had intended to be billed to my credit line took away from an account there was earmarked for money to be transferred to my checking account that I no longer have $106 towards the amount I was going to transfer. i think i might need to give a social media shout about the issues i am having. PayPal touts their credit lines as being seamless and easy. i have used credit for yrs without much issue. i do recall thinking after I was notified of the credit approval and learning PayPal does not issue a separate card for Credit that this may pose a problem and it now has apparently. so even if this is user air and myself or the cashier entered something incorrectly to cause the decline I would hope that PayPal would educate stores in merchants using their system how to better accommodate their credit line customers to avoid this inconvenience and yes embarrassment when you’re checking out and get a decline when you know you have a available credit of $3750 with a zero balance owing can’t even utilize your credit line... extremely frustrating especially during an outbreak going on all over the world, where trips to the grocery store or carefully planned and fewer and farther between due to the inherent risks currently being out in public. Worrying if PayPal is going to give the stores trouble approving my transactions is not another worry I would like to add to my list of worries right now.
