Android: Open the Settings app. Navigate to Accounts or Accounts & Sync. Find the account that is syncing contacts (e.g., Google). Tap on the account. Disable the Contacts sync option. iOS (iPhone/iPad): Open the Settings app. Scroll down and tap on Accounts & Passwords (or Mail, Contacts, Calendars in older iOS versions). Select the account that syncs contacts. Toggle off the Contacts switch.
