What I found out by calling is.......Unlike the old format, you could get on your account and make a payment anytime you wanted, including before your due date of course. But after you fulfilled your monthly payment, you could still make another payment whenever you wanted. With this new format apparently, according to a phone representative, the "make payment" button which appears underneath your balance owed does not make itself available until their monthly billing period. For me, I like to pay my balance off every month and sometimes within a day or a week, I may charge again. When that new charge is posted on Paypal, I cannot pay it until the next billing period. For the life of me I can't figure out why any company would not let you pay them as many times as you want each month! Go figure.  ... View more

I ran into this same problem last month. Looked everywhere to make a pmt. on this new format and finally I had to call them. I already had it set up to pay online with my checking acct. So last month they said they were having problems and when I signed back on the next day, there was a button to click on that said "make payment'" underneath my balanced owed, I clicked on that and followed the prompts and it went through. But now that option is gone again and I am getting ready to call them now. I never had that problem with the old format. Just press your help button on the bottom of your summary page and a page will come up showing you their phone number. I know my pmt. is due every month on the 12th and I opted to pay online so I don't get a statement mailed to my home anymore, so I need to call them again. I don't know why that payment button disappeared from one month to the next. Kind of frustrating! @hennigh wrote: The "make a payment" option is gone.
