I enabled two-factor authentication using a TOTP (Google Authenticator) App to provide the 2FA code to protect me from fraudulent logins on foreign devices. Now whenever I open the PayPal app on my phone it asks for the 2FA code which sucks. I already unlocked my phone, logged into the PayPal app - I do not want to enter the 2FA every time I open the app. But there seems no way whatsoever to flag my phone as a trusted device anywhere. Same thing goes for my personal Windows PC / Chrome Browser which I frequently use to log in to PayPal, of course I want to add this as trusted device as well.   Contrary to most other providers/services, where you can flag devices and browsers as secure/trusted, PayPal falls flat here. Is this just a technical shortcoming, "soon" to be implemented, so users really feel encouraged to take on the extra 2FA security layer? Or will we never see such an option, due to "security reasons"? Which will turn 99% of the users away from 2FA as the user experience sucks under those conditions. ... View more
