Hi Geordy Mac,   When you send a payment from your PayPal account, we will always try and process the payment directly from your PayPal balance first, then your bank account, then from a credit/debit card and lastly using an eCheck. I understand that you may have funded your purchases in the past from a credit/debit card but our internal security system may select or prevent a particular funding option to be used to fund a payment.   You need to check that the funding option selected for the payment is the correct one before completing the payment from your PayPal account. On the ‘Review your payment’ page, it will show what funding option will be charged. Beside this, you will see an ‘Edit’ or ‘Change’ icon. By clicking this, you can then select the funding source that you want to be debited for the payment you are sending.   As PayPal is a user initiated system, you need to ensure that the correct funding source is being selected any time you are sending a payment in order to ensure that you will not incur any bank charges or difficulties with the payment processing from that particular funding source.   I hope this information helps with your future transactions,   David. ... Here is another question that I have received recently:   My payments for purchases from EBay have changed unexpectedly from being automatically taken from my Credit Card Account to being taken from my Bank Account. Hi Breezy,   I understand that your facing difficulties with verifying your bank account on your current PayPal account and I can only imagine the frustration that you must be feeling as a result. If you are unable to access your old PayPal account to remove your bank account, the only thing that you can do is contact us directly and we can assist you with accessing your old PayPal account to remove your bank account.   Our customer support telephone line (087 07 307 191) is open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Friday, from 8am to 9pm on Saturday and from 9am to 9pm on Sunday. It is a national call rate of 10p per minute from a UK landline phone. Rates from overseas landlines and mobile phones may vary.   We will be able to help you verify your current bank account but as it is a complicated issue, contacting us by phone will be the quickest and easiest way for you to get your issue resolved.   Thanks,   David. ... Hi David,   There is no faculty yet to pay standing orders from one PayPal account to another. There is however a subscriptions or recurring payments option.   If wish to find out more about PayPal and how it can work with websites/portals. You can visit our ‘Developer Central’ site which is a one-stop site for developers using the PayPal payments platform.   1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk 2. Click on ‘Business' near the top of the page. 3. Click on ‘Help and resources’ near the top of the page. 4. Hi SAWHNEY,   If you have made a payment to a seller and they are trying to refund the payment to your account, they can refund the payment directly from their account by going to the transaction details page. They do not require your email address to be able to refund the payment back to your account.   Here’s the process that your seller can follow to issue the refund to your account: 1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk 2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page. 3. Find the transaction you would like to refund and click the ‘Details’ link of that transaction. 4. On the Transaction Details page, click the ‘Issue Refund’ link. 5. Enter the amount to be refunded and click ‘Continue’. 6. Confirm the information and click ‘Issue Refund’. Please note, your seller will only be able to click on the ‘Issue Refund’ link if; • They are issuing a refund within 60 days of receiving the payment • They have sufficient funds in your balance (if not you can use the 'Add Funds' feature and issue the refund once the money has cleared from your bank account) • The payment has a status of Completed, Pending, Cleared or Uncleared   If your seller does not have sufficient funds in their PayPal account. They will need to add funds from a confirmed bank account.
