In my own case... ....I spoke to paypal an hour ago who assured me that should the seller not respond to a request for information in the given timeframe then the case is awarded in my favour. However, I would suggest you call them after this time expires as, in my case, the agent I spoke to told me he would automatically set the case to close in my favour without further action on my part for, in his words, to save me another phone call. I would strongly suggest and have said it many times on this forum, calling paypal directly is the only real solution if you want a quick resoluton. The automated service gies a timeframe for both the buyer and seller but when this expires the cogs need turning manually to get the case moving. Also, the paypal employees on this site seem rather selective as to which post they reply to, but I guess there's a lot to get through.  ... View more

With regards a chargeback the buyer normally has to prove to a CC company that he has taken steps to demonstrate to the seller that the money has been taken out of his account, in this case paypal, without his permission. This may mean email exchanges between the buyer and seller in which you will have demontrated to the buyer that he has signed up to the servce [you will need to provide proof of this] and as importantly; using that which he has signed up and paid for. The CC company will ask the buyer for proof of this and as paypal will support you, the seller, in this dispute, will ask for proof from you that the seller has taken out the subscription. My advice would be to wait for a request for your contribution to the dispute and provide the information in a timely manner. There should not be a scenario where the dispute is settled in favour of the buyer without your contribution. ... View more

What is the status of your claim, does it state 'awaiting a response from either the buyer or seller'? As for your English, there is normally a paypal office in your country. Phoning paypal is, in my experience, the most effectve solution. Where did you buy the goods? Hopefully this exchange will prompt a paypal employee to contribute to your case. ... View more

I've read many stories about PayPal favouring the buyer in these situations. It is not unreasonable for the buyer to claim he bought it knowing its condition [from your description] with the intention to repair and then found it was useless due to water damage, which you didn't know about. The buyer could argue it woud be perfectly reasonable to open a phone with the intention to repair. Having said that, the PayPal response here would suggest you have no problem 🙂 ... View more

You're not trying hard enough. Phone them and say 'agent' to every question. As for your question, it is surely impossible for. Seller to fake tracking information. Ask yourself; how? A month is too long, you need to shake yourself and phone PayPal to get things moving. ... View more

You need to phone them, use the 'contact us' facility. Say 'agent' over and over again to get past the shockingly useless automated service, however charming he may appear 😉 ... View more

If that's true then it's shocking that you haven't been given the opportunity to contribute to a dispute before PayPal make a decision. In fact, knowing the resolution process as I now do I find that virtually impossible to believe, unless you failed to follow the eBay seller protection procedure, such as traceable despatch? ...
