Selling first time, can not link to my PayPal account

I entered my first eBay listing and I am required to set up payment fees with Paypal but I get a prompt that I can not do that with my Paypal account.  I have the Premier account.  What do I need to do?

Do you have a confirmed credit card, debit card or bank account linked to your PayPal account?

Yes everything is confirmed.  Address and bank account and a credit card.  This has been going on for almost 3 years.  I gave up a year ago trying to get this done.  I restarted trying to get this resolved.  I have been playing phone tag between ebay and paypay for 2days.  I may have found a problem, but I am not sure.  I have a personal Ebay account and a Priemer Paypal account,  but I noticed that I have a merchant ID on my Paypal account.  Could that be the problem.  I have not found a way to remove the merchant ID since I really am not a merchant.  Please help, I am not getting any younger and the rate this is going, I am going to die  of old age, I am 71.

Hello lwilli201,

If your PayPal and eBay accounts use the same email address, you can link them. If they are not the same then this would be the problem and you would need to change one of them. Hopefully this will help.
