I ran an ad on craigslist offering my boat for sale for $27,000.00. I was contacted by a person who wants to buy the boat. I want to handle the financial transaction through paypal (to avoid fake bank checks / counterfeit money). I created an invoice for $27,000.00 but PayPal would not let me send that out. The limit appears to be $9,999.99 that I can invoice.
Is it OK for me to create 3 invoices for $9,000.00 and explain that the boat is not sold until each of three invoices are paid and the funds have cleared my bank?
