Response to Dasailor:
An interesting point you made . There is ,I might add a multitude of different theories about what is behind all this. The only universal thread is that the harder the US squirms with the repression the less trust there is in government. They do however, have the right wingers on their side who will inevitably scream the loudest when the sinister cycle goes full circle.
Let's keep this forum about ideas instead of whether or not we cancel Paypal.

I agree... in the grand scheme of things Paypal could careless if people drop their accounts over this. Its like saying people are going to boycott Facebook for whatever reason. Just won't happen in the quantities that would be required to make a dent in their revenue. Plus a lot of people will rally around the flag, but few will actually fight for it; as few who actually say they will drop accounts really will.

Any actions regarding accounts due to PP's decisions regarding Wikileaks are part of the Wikileaks discussion. Please do not call for limitation of this discussion here, your request makes you seem like an employee, moderator or shill for PP. Thank you.

I didn't suggest limiting discussion, on the contrary, I welcome it.

Refer to Paypaal-coward.
The point I was trying to make is that a bulk of us on this forum think that Paypal is a tool and member in good standing of the Good Old Boys establishment who generally intend no good for the rest of us. If you read my earlier post you can see I disapproved of the Paypal action as regards Wikileaks. Now...if the next 700 posts are all I'm gonna cancel Paypal probably the thread will end cause nobody will want to participate or read the same old idea. I mean how many ways can you say cancel Paypal.
In the scheme of things it isn't going to hurt Paypal. It is the repression in the system we want to cancel as well as the scheming and lies that Wiki has brought forward to start with.

gsl,
Your points regarding PP being part of the Old Boy Establishment are absolutely correct and not in dispute.
If 700, 7,000 or 7 million people post here only that they are cancelling their PP account then perhaps we would cause the Establishment to finally notice our desires and realize we can operate as a very large group against them.
My point is this, let this topic be about cancellations as well as new ideas. We need to reach a tipping point and that can only happen with large numbers of people doing the same thing, cancelling PP accounts.
When it comes to politics or protests against powerful entities US citizens might finally get off their couches if they see hundred's of thousands of people taking action until they too will get involved. The exceptions to this seem to be when their favorite sports team is doing well, or if a radio/tv pundit TELLS them what to do.
