The card is linked to a second account that does not exist.

I created a new PayPal account, tried to add a card and it didn't work. It said it was rejected. I deleted the account and tried to create a new one, but it says the card is linked to another account. What should I do?

We understand that you want to add card to your PayPal account. A card can be linked to 1 PayPal account at a time. To add this card you may need to remove this card from old account and then try to add the card to your new account. Kindly refer the help centre article for more details. Also, refer the articles to learn about the steps to link your debit card with PayPal account.

 

 Kindly reach out to our customer support team to get the card removed from old account. Please reach out to the Support Team during business hours by clicking the Contact option at the bottom of PayPal page.
