What is going on with PayPal "compliance" checks????? It is getting so ridiculous, it is not funny!
We hold business account for 10+ years. Never had any issues.
Recently, most of the transactions result in "PayPal investigations". Takes 1-2 days for investigation to complete and funds being released to us. It is pain, as we are unable to fulfill orders as fast as we normally do.
Today I got this e-mail (I quote):
"
Dear <customer name removed>,
PayPal is committed to complying with and meeting its global regulatory obligations. As part of our regulatory obligations, we regularly screen information and payments transacting through the PayPal system. During one of these screenings, we noticed an issue concerning a recent transaction.
To resolve the compliance inquiry in a timely fashion, PayPal is requesting that you provide the following information:
On 30 July 2022, you sent a payment <transaction number removed> for the amount of $349.8 for "For timelessly chic millinery at an accessible price, look to homegrown headwear label Fillies Collection. Launched in 1963, FBring a touch of unbridled glamour to any event with the Feather Crown Racing Fascinator by Max [removed]." Please provide the following information:
• The date of birth for Max [removed]
Your payment has been held until this issue is resolved. This hold cannot be removed until PayPal receives the requested information that will enable us to ensure our compliance with our regulatory obligations.
"
Well, They picked up a name "Max [removed]" from product description and want his date of birth... It is not even a real name, it is our registered brand name.... WTF???
I am seriously considering dropping PayPal from accepted payments methods. It is just crazy!
