Innovation through the use of AI? No thanks! I want to opt out.

Nope. I'm drawing the line.

I'm not usually a Debbie Downer, but my gut reaction to PayPal announcing its implementation of AI was unsettling. AI technology is in its infancy—as such, it is going to mess up. It WILL mess up, and when it does, because I will have chosen to prevent PayPal AI from having access to my money, my funds won't be at risk. I won't have any money stolen from me. 

Give me the option to use PayPal using the standard, Pre-AI, NON-AI transactions. 

Security breaches happen all over the place before AI was available—adding unproven, hyped, savior-ranked, blinders on, AI technology to the mix can only make the security more unstable. Make a “NON-AI PayPal platform option” available for those who don't want to allow an unproven piece of AI software technology to have access to their funds.

The current, homicidal culture will—in typical fashion—metaphorically kill me off, it'll dismiss me and my comments, because that's what it does when a different, challenging opinion is offered. It'll keep its blinders on, kill off anyone who disagrees, and keep marching into its dead end abyss. 

That's my prediction, anyway.
