Change of IP address by ISP could result in another suspension/ban

IPv4 addresses are in short supply. My ISP ran out of IPv4 addresses so they purchased a pool of new IP addresses from another company.

Problem is that company was in Denmark.

PayPal and many other companies use IP address databases that maintain geolocation data for IP addresses. It took a full year for them to update their databases to point the new IP pool to Sydney (The ISP wiped their hands of any responsibility for making sure their new addresses pointed to them). Problem is, I don't know how many of these databases PayPal reference and how many haven't updated their databases yet.

PayPal is a particularly brutal company that has no respect for customers and has already suspended my account once before several years ago.

So, every day I have to spend about an hour all up connecting and disconnecting my internet until I get an IP address in the pool that PayPal is used to seeing me on.

I fear that if I just go with whatever DHCP address I get, as that could change between two networks (86.48.x.x and 103.212.x.x), that they will again suspend my account.

It seems incredible to me that they do not allow people to use PayPal from different locations. At least, they won't let me do it. So even if I had a cell phone and tried to access PayPal all that would happen is that I'd get an email saying I'd violated their user agreement again and my account would be suspended again...

I use PayPal almost exclusively to buy food. So if I get suspended again I can't do that.

Surely there's something I can do about this.

Please do not reply and tell me they do allow changing IP addresses because I know for a fact my account was suspended for 6 months for this same issue.

I agree. IP addresses are associated to MAC address. However that would take an enormous amount of back office configuration, also what's going to happen when you change your phone or your PC. this is ridiculous. The other alternative is to use certification or even better still logging on SSH with public and private keys in fact that would be a solution.
