UPS & Using Paypal Balance?

So everyone knows that UPS charges fall off and then get recharged about 7 days after you print a Paypal label.

In the meantime, I've purchased something and Paypal makes me use my balance that'd I'd left for UPS.  So, now what?  How does UPS get their money?

PayPal first takes funds from your PayPal Account Balance, once depleted, it goes to your secondary backup funding source, with bank account or credit card.

thanx, but that wasn't my question.  How does UPS now get the money I had left in my Paypal Account for them?

I re-read your answer again, are you saying that Paypal will now go into whatever backup I have and use that for my UPS charges?  Which is fine by me, but I don't know why they can't let us keep a balance and use other ways to pay for purchases.  😞
