we are a new start-up helping roommates and landlords to connect.  Allowing landlords to post rental listing in our marketplace and providing them tools to screen quality tenants. By using your adaptive payment system and developing a cutting edge technology to assist tenants to pay their landlords online without paper checks, we realize your fees for doing so is outrageous.

For instance,

Tenants pays Landlord $500.

Roomplug wants charge a minimal fee of $1 for the transaction taken place, and allow Landlord to receive the rest.

Landlord collects $500 - $1 (Roomplug Fee) - 2.9% + 0.30 cent = $484.83

Is there a way not to penalize the Landlord for these high fees for accepting online rent payment with your system.  Is there any other alternative where you guys take a smaller percentage fee or transaction fee of 50 cents?

We are property owners and want to provide the best online rent payment tool utilizing your service, but these fees seem to steer our users away and still collect checks throught the mail with just a postage stamp.  Does paypal offer any other services for rent payment api?
