Returned payment for insufficient funds?

I submitted a payment for an Ebay transaction through PayPal. The payment has been completed and the item has been shipped.
I learned this morning that my bank rejected a payment for the same amount (I'm 99% sure that was it) because there wasn't enough money in there, but the Ebay seller HAS received their payment.
Will the payment get sent back to PayPal and show on my PayPal account as being negative? Will PayPal just try to get the money from my account again?
I have the funds in my bank to cover the payment, but I'm concerned that I've paid for something without actually paying for it. I want to make it right but I don't want to be charged a fee from PayPal.
