Newegg Payment Authorization Failed

So I placed an order for computer parts on newegg via paypal. I did this because newegg does not take discover, however paypal does. The order appeared to complete successfully. However, a few minutes later I recieved two emails. The first from newegg indicating that payment authorization failed, and the second indicating that payment has been charged.
Looking at my paypal account I see that I was charged $62.97 successfully of my $605 order. However, the original order continues to indicate $605 in progress. I am not sure I understand this. I contaced newegg customer service, and the were unable to help. The indicated that the problem was on the paypal end.
If I cannot complete this order for some reason, I would like the $62.97 refunded (obviously). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
finally, I have checked my discover card, and it should that I was billed the 62.97, but not the remained the of the $605 order.
