Paying Rent with Amex through Paypal

Hey,

I pay rent every month to someone into a personal banking account that they own. They live at a separate address. I was looking to pay this through Paypal with my Amex so I could get a few points.

Is this allowed? They are at a separate address with a separate personal bank account and I only am really in contact with them to make payments. If I pay them through 'family and friends' with my Amex, will it count as a purchase?

Welcome to the PayPal Community. I see you have not had a response from any of our members to date. Maybe I can help.

I don't see any reason why you can't pay your rent through PayPal. There would be no problem with this once your landlord has a PayPal account.
