I sent someone on paypal via goods and services £400 for a phone I saw on gumtree. he said he'll dispatch the item when payment has "cleared". This was almost 24hrs ago. I got the confirmation email that I sent a payment straight away and its in my activity on paypal as payment sent as well. Payment was done from a credit card.
If the payment is ''pending'' then it has to do with his account and not yours.
The pending status is a precaution for new seller etc and the sooner he sends your item and marks it sent or adds a tracking number then the sooner he gets his money.
If he does not send promptly then file a dispute for non receipt of item to get your money back and buy elsewhere.
