Converting currency from Canadian Dollars to British Pounds.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how much paypal would charge me for receiving canadian dollars and converting them into pounds, either before they're sent or after. Is there an easy way to do this? The person from canada sending the money doesn't really know much about paypal and I'm struggling to find out how much it would be. I can convert pounds to dollars on my end and see that way but would that be the same as dollars to pounds from their end? It would be $1750 every month, I'm trying to find out if it would be cheaper than the bank. Thanks.
