I am selling my bass boat and someone has emailed me saying they wish to buy it. What doesn't sit well with me, is that they want to pay me through a credit card via Paypal. Am I right to worry about this or is it OK to do so? It's a lot of money to make a mistake with!
Paypal does accept credit card payments even for people who do not have paypal accounts. The only problem with accepting paypal for something that cannot be shipped is that it also cannot be verified that they received the item. Read through the topics about scammers and you'll find lots of people who meet scammers trying to do the same thing, so I'd be very leary about this. Check the Seller Protection guidelines for your country to see how you're covered.
