Hello,
I'm in the process of selling an eBay item. Currently, the leading bidder is a Russian buyer with no other transactions to his name.....he seems to be competing with another Russian who also has no other transactions to his name.
The auction ends in 5 days. Assuming he (or she) wins, what steps can I take to protect myself from being "scammed".
Will I be protected if the seller claims that his item didn't turn up? Is there a failsafe tracking service that will verify that he has or hasn't received the item in question?
How do you think I should handle this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

My advice is as an ebay seller.
Is the item pricey??
Because if so my personal advice to you is cancel their bids and end the auction.
Then go to my ebay > account tab > my selling preferences > buyer requirements > and then put in what requirements you want to block including what countries you don't want to sell to.
Then when you have done all that relist the item more safely.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi,
if you will ship the item by USPS Priority Mail or USPS Express Mail - winner would recieve the item in 14-20 days. Tracking for this shipments works good. If you ship it by Airmail (or something like this, with cheaper price) it would be delivered in 40+ days. Don't do that, item would not be tracked and can be missed 🙂
