Hi,
I'm trying to set up client payment via my website. I was under the impression you could accept a PayPal login OR credit/debit cards without the need for a PayPal account but with no fees.
I've looked through the tariffs available and I think Standard Payments is what I want but when I test in the sandbox, I see no option for using a credit card!
Can someone please clarify this for me?
Thanks!
Scott

Thanks for your help snowshoe but it seems it was some kind of link error. I started again from scratch and it worked fine!

Your seller account has to be either a Premier or Business account. If working with the Sandbox, most likely your seller account is a business account. You may have to enable the credit card option. This is done from within the account profile.
Go to your Account Profile.
Select: My Selling Tools
Under: Selling Online
Locate: Website Preferences
Click on: Update
Locate: PayPal Account Optional
Click: On
Click: Save
When the "account optional" feature is turned on, customers don't need a
PayPal account. They use an alternate checkout and have the option to sign up
for a PayPal account afterward. Customers with PayPal accounts still log in to
their PayPal accounts to check out.
This feature is available for Buy Now buttons, Donations, shopping carts and invoices.
Please note that if both the "auto return" and "account optional" features
are turned on, customers who don't log in to PayPal can choose to go back to
your website after checkout, but are not returned automatically.

Hi snowshoe,
Thanks for the reply.
I checked and "account optional" is on already. Also, I did convert to a Business account before I began working with the API.
Any idea if there's something I need to include in the PHP code that enables this feature or should it be handled by PayPal's end? if it helps, I used the integration wizard initially for digital sales.
Thanks,
Scott

What product are you working with? If Express Checkout, there's no option, same with Pro.
