So I am attempting to sell a saddle for £1000, however I’m not entirely convinced the seller is genuine. I’ll paste the email here for you.
“Thanks for your respons, your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I’ve seen lately, I’ll take it. I locate in North Carolina, you don’t have to worry about the shipping ok. I have a private courier that will come for the pick up after payment has been made, so no shipping included. I’ll need your name, the pick up address and please include your PayPal email address for the payment.
thanks..”
now, I’m a sceptic and as I understand there is a way of cancelling payment on PayPal? Is there any way I can protect myself just in case or shall I just put this down as a scam.
Please help! I’ve been struggling to sell this thing for ages and need some good news.

Sounds like THIS Scam, read the below so you know what to expect if this is what it turns out to be >>
A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.
They encourage you to use paypal, don't want to view the item, don't quibble on price and say they are going to arrange their own shipping agent / courier.
You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
The 'fake' paypal email will tell you that the buyer has paid for the item + shipping costs but you must send those shipping costs to the courier via western union / moneygram BEFORE the funds are released to you.
They are not interested in the item, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg Moneygram or Western Union.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
