How long will it takes to let the buyer got the refund from a canceled but uncleared e-check?

The buyer asked to cancel the transaction and want to check the item first by local pick up because we realized we are in the same city. But he/she's going on a vacation after Feb,3 and I canceled the transaction on Jan,29. Can he/she get the refund before Feb,3?
