"Custom made" Definition

What is the definiton made by PayPal in regards to "Custom made" items? Under the user agreement, these items are not covered by Buyer Protection.

Specifically, I am looking at guitars made in the United States. There are a lot of independent, hand-made builders out there. In this case, the builder has retired and someone who previously purchased his guitar is selling it used. Would an item like this be considered a "Custom made" item under PayPal's user agreement, and so not be covered?

The alternative I can think of is that it is covered because the seller isn't "custom" making it for me...the item has already been made and purchased by someone else.
