suspicious email from paypal and I can't log into my account

I had to create a new account so i could post on here btw, no way to call by phone. I cant login to my account as it says it doesnt recognise my signin, when i try to change my password i get redirected to the login page, when i check my in box no email is sent from paypal to reset my password. 

 

yesterday i got a suspicious email directly from paypal asking to authorised a payment from an unfamiliar email address requesting payment of $999.99.

 

when i tried to login to paypal today to check any activity and report the threat i had the above sign in issue. when i tried to create a new account with my existing email with paypal it registered that the email is already active so the account is still there.

 

please help, i want to deactivate my cards just in case.

I do understand that you are unable to login to your PayPal. Requesting you to kindly reach out to our customer support team during business hours by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page. If your unable to login or are not in access of your PayPal account, you can connect with us via phone call as "as a Guest" (this does not require you to sign in to your PayPal account).
