It seems my PayPal access was stolen - "You've added a new email address to your PayPal account" but I didn't...someone hacked my Gmail account passwords....now I can't log in inside PayPal as my email was changed, I can't even recover a PayPal password...moreover, I can't contact the PayPal support team....what should I do? and why 2FA didn't work? I had it linked to my phone number but someone logged in to my account using email and passwords only....and changed everything without email or SMS confirmation...how is it possible?

Many people have had this same issue. My account included. When will PayPal explain how this happens with strong passwords and 2FA enabled. It should not be possible for someone to log into these accounts.
