PERMANENT ACCOUNT LIMITATIONS HELP

I recently sold something on this app and when I went to claim the money PayPal asked me for a government I.d which I don’t have because the latest appointment is in June so I thought that my college I.d would work since it worked for other paying apps which it didn’t now I have a permanent account limitations for a mistake, I also gave PayPal my social security card but they’re still saying it’s fraudulent activity but that makes no sense since I’m literally contacting them. All I care for is that money because now I have to send the person basically a free item and pay for shipping (I also can’t issue a refund because when I go to it’s tells me I can’t use PayPal anymore with a red triangle) so how could I just get my money and move on cuz I’m being punished for a simple mistake.

My account was permenantly limited after 4 years..I have a PayPal Mastercard and my business account primarily used with PayPal. I called PP and they said it's considered a "high risk" account? Whatever that means? The only thing I can think of is because I called them. last week after having a negative balance which I immediately paid and removed all the "reoccurring charges". I am in the middle of changing banking institutions and wanted to ensure no payments were being made using my old accounts. I "thought" I was doing the right thing….I wouldn't even care except that PayPal is going to close my credit card which is going to negatively impact my credit. Since I am in the middle of buying a home, a closed credit card account may impact my credit scores and delay closing on a new home.  I could understand if I had done something illegal or evens disputed payments but all I did was use my account…Fortunately this is 2022 and with Amazon pay, Apple Pay and the myriad of other pay services, transferring money isn't really an issue as it was 20 years ago…For me it is the Stalin like attitude and control when PayPal is really no different from a bank or credit card lending service. The only difference is others put a larger value on customer service and individual circumstances versus a blanket black and white policy.  PayPal has somehow forgotten customers are humans, life happens and to treat each case individually instead of reviewing account with a biased attitude that everyone is somehow trying to be suspicious. Fortunately I have a successful blog and Youtube channel with large dedicated followers who will hopefully use my PayPal story as a baseline to close their PayPal accounts before PayPal has the opportunity to randomly pick accounts that "violate their policies."  I actually read PayPal user agreement and realized it's so vague and open to interpretation. They hold funds for 180 days to avoid "liability" when the user is not and can not use their account? On the surface that doesn't seem unreasonable but imagine millions of dollars being held is merely collecting interest which PayPal will pocket.  I don't understand how it can be legal to limit all use of an account while keeping the customers funds?  People forget this isn't individual but also business accounts, with tens of thousands of dollars now being held for up to 6 months? I have vendors and employees I need to pay but now any money in my account is held for 6 months and I am forced to pay from my own funds to cover the thousands of dollars received the last week, which is held by PayPal.

I also have the same problem. I tried contacting them through Twitter, as well as the help chat and nothing. All they told me was that there was nothing they can do and their decision was final. I don’t believe it for a second, but I hope to find some answers as well.

Same story here.

Just opened an account, I have been through the whole KyC/KyB process, get validated and finally the account is permanently limited...

I doesn't make any sense, how could you breach a rule before you actually use the account ?!

The customer service can't help, they are just clueless.

I get my account limitation and all of the balance $38,000 were transferred as penalties. No notice but the volition of user agreement from Paypal and no door to get help! this is strong company dealing with his client! No idea!

I have the same issue here. Thankfully the only money I'm losing in my account is the $3 I got for singing up, but honestly at least they could have given me a reason for limitation? Like, I didn't touch this app for a year, what could I possibly have done wrong? I just updated my card??
