Money held for no reason and account blocked 180 days

Why the hell is my account being blocked and funds held for 180 days when I deposited my own cash in the account, tried to pay someone for a gucci bag, you instantly cancelled the transaction and refunded me the money, blocked his account and then blocked my account for absolute no reason and now you refuse to let me take my funds for 180 days to avoid "chargebacks issues" when there isn't a transaction in the first place and its MY OWN money in the account that no one can chargeback???? How does that make sense????

Everyone who posts on here about being limited always says that they had broken no rules. However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account than interest on any held money.

Then please tell me what I did wrong.

I see an ad on facebook for a bag, the seller only accepts paypal - I proceed to create a paypal account and saw it takes deposit by ATM, I go to the ATM with my card, I deposit the amount to buy the bag, I get home I transfer to the email that the seller gave me, the amount instantly gets refunded, his account apparently got blocked and mine followed.

What have I done wrong? This happened twice.

Were you using the friends/family option to send the money or goods/services?

In that case sorry no idea.

Here are some reasons for a limitation.

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not being in the country where you have opened a Paypal account.
4. Being under 18 / minor account.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.
6. Not having your legal name on your Paypal account.
7. Selling items (often virtual or digital) that Paypal consider a high risk of disputes/chargebacks OR items that violate their acceptable use policy.
8. Using the friends/family option for sales transactions to try and evade Paypal fees and risk of disputes.

If none of those then.........

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation or account specific issues.
