So obviously, like so many others here, I am scrambling to deal with the tax requirement that took some of us by surprise because we don't read Paypal updates during the year. 🙂
But as bad as it is from the IRS, PayPal is not helping the situation. What we need is simpler ways to generate reports based on shipping, eBay and paypal fees etc. Like bank statements have.
I know they can be figured out, but they're not simple.
First thing I need help with is generating a report to just give me total number of payments in a given date period. Can someone help me with this? I've searched and drilled down thru the PP reports and am just not seeing it.
Thx.

Do you have Excel or a spreadsheet package?
You can download and export PayPal transactions into a spread sheet and then get your information that way. I enter all of my PayPal transactions into QuickBooks (you can also export PayPal into QuickBooks, but I've never tried that) and use QuickBooks reports to get what I need.
