unclaimed payment refund!

Hi,

I recently cancelled an 'unclaimed' payment, the money has come out of my bank account but isn't showing back in Paypal yet - when will the refund take place?!

Hey there,

Cancelling a transaction on payment doesn’t cancel the funds coming from your bank. Although the funds may have left your bank, they must still go through PayPal’s clearing houses. This whole process takes 5 to 7 working days to complete from the original transaction date. Once the funds clear they will be released to your PayPal balance.

It states 'Temporary Hold by Paypal', is this correct for the situation as set out in the original question?

Is the temporary hold in order to allow funds to clear or for some other reason? 

The original Paypal address was incorrect and the payment unclaimed when cancelled so I assume that the funds do not have to be paid back as it were.

I cancelled a unclaimed payment of £165.00 the seller had the wrong email address with pay pal the funds have left my bank account and my pay pal payment is showing on hold while pay pal investigates could anybody put in the picture as to what is going on, item has been paid for by other means.

i have a problem with cancelation of unclaimed transaction.i can not see cancel payment option in my paypal. i want to cancel a payment which is still unclaimed.

Paypal advised me by e-mail of an unclaimed payment. I had not made a purchase or authorised a payment for this amount.

I followed the guidance in the e-mail and cancelled the payment on 20th Jan . This is shown on my history as cancelled and my paypal balance is nil but the money has not been put back into my credit card account. How long does it take for this to happen
