retrieving payment

Hi, I have just purchased - or so I thought, an item from e.bay but after I had sent the money I received a message from the seller saying that he had sold the item to somebody else. I checked with my bank and the funds have already been transferred to paypal. As I am new to this, how do I go about getting my money back...it is a considerable amount.?

Ask the seller to go and find the transaction in their paypal account and refund your payment. The payment may be on temporary hold till your payment clears through to paypal and they can send it back to you again.

Then once refunded i would be leaving that seller appropriate feedback to warn other buyers that he does not stick to ebay terms and conditions and sold elsewhere when you were the winning bidder.

If he does not refund then file a dispute for non receipt of item via ebay or paypal;
