Does it say pending or temporary hold.

Did you get a paypal email to say that you had been refunded OR just that you had received a payment.

Yes, the seller sent me £40 to pay for a repair via PayPal. I originally paid £180 for the bike via PayPal. I can see the payment on my PayPal but it doesn't tell me when the £40 will clear. And tbpfh, there is NO good reason why it isn't instantly available like a bank transfer.

Yes, I got an email from PayPal saying the £40 had been refunded to the card I paid with. But I didn't pay with the card, I paid using PayPal. The £40 is showing as refunded in my PayPal but zero available. My bank account doesn't show it either. It's a bloody farce.

What? Swearing? I used the word 'bloody' and it wasn't directed at you. Re-read my post and don't be so precious. You may feel full of yourself wandering around here getting involved in everything and I'm sure you actually help people. But you appear to have an over-inflated ego and are quick to take offence where there is none. Your first reply showed that you didn't actually read my original post and asked a question I had already addressed. I knew coming here was a waste of time. I'll just call PayPal. Do yourself a favour mate and get over yourself. This is just a chat-board, and unless you own and operate it personally you're no different to the rest of us seeking answers to PayPal issues, of which there are many. So fine, please, don't bother. Swearing, lol. If you consider 'bloody' to be a swearword then you need to get out more AND IT WASN'T EVEN AIMED AT YOU. If English isn't your first language then I'll politely suggest you research the word in the context used and again, stop being so precious.

Thanks for proving my point.

And yes I had already worked out what has happened.

When you phone paypal >>

don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

Bye

The only point proved here was your outrage at an imaginary slur. I could quite happily sit here and verbally joust with you but tbh, I have other positive things to be doing. My experience of this chat-board has been most unsatisfactory which is a direct result of your interference. Your ego has swollen to the size that precludes humility in your manner and attitude. You are no different to the rest of us. Seriously now, drop the superior attitude and review your guiding principles which I presume were originally full of good intention and an eagerness to help people. Which is marvellous. But unfortunately somewhere along the way those principles became intertwined with aloofness and condescension. So thank you for trying to assist me. However I am none the wiser and will leave here with the impression that this was a waste of time and effort. All I ended up with was a rather puerile argument with a volunteer advisor who over time appears to have allowed their ego to run ragged. I hope you have the ability to step back and honestly ask yourself if there is anything to what I have said. Do your good work but l implore you to leave your ego at the door when you log in. I won't be back to reply. So enjoy the last word. Something I guess is important to you.
