Payment was unclaimed and then canceled, but i have not got the refund.

I purchased something on ebay and the seller could not accept the payment, i canceled it then and i have not received the money back. Even though it said its returned to my account. when will i get it back?

Any help will be appreciated.

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday, and I want to know the same thing. How can the money be taken from my account if the person didn't except payment? Weird

When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal pay for you then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source.

Even though the payment was unclaimed the funds still start to process in case the seller is able to accept the payment at a later date.

When you cancel a payment as the seller can't accept it then those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will then either return them to your account or credit your paypal balance but that takes a few days.

Same issue here. I was bought something on ebay. Hit the payment button, sent the money. But the seller had put wrong paypal details. So the payment was undelivered. The seller informed me on the situation and cancelled the payment. The money has left my bank account but there not back yet. 
I was starting to freak out my  self till I saw this thread.

Would i get a refund because i cancelled a purchase aswell in my old account. Also i closed my old account and opened a new one with the same E-mail address and Bank details so would that money get transferred into this account as they have the same details.
