Hi there hope someone can help.

I accidentally made a payment to someone today and requested the money back, they havepolitely agreed to return the money via refund, but they have been charged 20p to do this.

What on earth has happened here? This was my mistake so why is a stranger paying 20p for helping me out and returning my payment.

How can i get this 20p returned to the person?

thanks

When you pay someone for goods then they are charged 3.4% + 20p, if they then have to refund the buyer the 3.4% is returned to them but paypal keep the 20p as a refund processing fee.

As it was not that person or paypals mistake but your own then maybe you could send them 20p via friends/family option so there is no fee as a goodwill and thank you gesture?
