I purchased 'flights only' with Monarch airlines on 8th September 2017. This was with PayPal with my master card credit card. Monarch airlines inform me that the purchase is not ATOL protected [Flight only]. My credit card company inform me that they are not liable to make a refund because the purchase was made via PayPal. I have conatcted PayPal customer services and they have asked me to 'raise' a dispute and then 'escalate' the same dispute.
I have attempted to 'raise' a dispute multiple times but the 'disput' does not appear in the dispute log, so I am unable to 'escalate' the dispute.
PayPal customer services say they will not 'escalate' a dispute over the phone. Hence, I am stuck! Any suggestions?
