Hello,
So i made the mistake of trying to save a few quid by buying a game off a cd key website. They sent me a key that didn't work and after raising a dispute with paypal, they replied to my support ticket with the following
Dear Customer,
thank you for the screenshots. We would like to apologise for this problem.
In this case we could offer you a replacement key or we could give you Reward Points for this order.
We would give you points equal to the amount which you paid for the product. You could then use the Reward Points to pay for other products orders in our shop.
The only thing we need you to do before we apply any of those solutions, is to close the PayPal dispute that you have opened. Thank you in advance.
Please inform us which solution would be better for you.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for cooperation.
Please retain all history if you reply to this mail.
Katarina
Unfortunatly I didnt realise that if i closed a ticket I couldnt open it again. Of course, after I did they did not give me a new cd key and I have heard nothing from them since. Have I totally boned myself? Or is there anything I can do to get my money back.

Nothing you can do via paypal, but if you funded your paypal payment with a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you.
Even if you had not closed the dispute odds are you may not have won as virtual / digital items are not covered by buyer protection on paypal.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
