Fee refund from PayPal

Hi All,

I sold an item on ebay, the buyer paid, i sent it out, it was damaged in transit, the buyer requested a refund, i refunded him - how do I claim back my eBay sellers fees and PayPal fees, together they total over £40 on a transaction that hasn't happened.

Any help appreciated

As far as ebay are concerned you cannot as the transaction did complete and its not their fault the item was lost in the post.

As for paypal fees, if you used the refund option in the details of the transaction when the buyer paid then when you issued a refund the fees would have been credited back at the same time minus a 20p processing fee.

To claim for the item lost in the post you need to file a claim with royal mail.
