Ebay refund without paypal

Hi, I am from India & I purchased an item on ebay UK as a guest. I was not having a paypal account linked to my ebay account when I placed the order.

I paid using my indian credit card & registered myself on ebay UK after placing the order.

Later on ebay suspended my account! & my order was canceled by ebay.

Now ebay has apologized to me & re activated back my account. Ebay told me that its mandatory to link paypal.  So now I have linked my paypal account  with ebay too.

But since the payment was already made ,  how will I get the refund?  I am from India & my credit card currency is Indian Rupees. 

1- Will the money automatically go back into my source credit card account? But my card currecy is Indian Rupees.

2- Will the money be refunded to my paypal account which I have linked with ebay now?

3- Did the money directly go to the seller since I paid directly using credit card? So seller needs to refund it? 

But since the order was canceled by ebay, so where is the money lying now? 

Is the money with ebay , or paypal or with seller?

I am exhausted trying to talk n chat with ebay UK customer care. They are contradicting themselves & different executives are telling different things with no idea!

Since the transaction was canceled by ebay, I see under the purchase history of my account under returns & canceled orders-  It says,  

Your payment didn't go through, so the order was cancelled. Please pay for this item again.

Where is the money now?

If you funded the original paypal payment to the seller with a credit card as a guest buyer then once refunded it 'should' automatically go back to your credit card but takes a while to process back to a c.c (paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine).
