Cancelling pending payments

I had tried to order something from Argos and paid using paypal. Paypal have taken the money from my bank account and the payment is currently pending to Argos. I never got a confirmation e-mail from Argos and have since found out that the order was never generated on their side! Is there anyway i can cancel this pending transaction? Thanks

If it is curently pending then I don't think it is possible to cancel it. You can try contacting paypal and ask to see if you can. If I'm right the pending procedure can take up to 72 hours to process which I find ridiculous.

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is always pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
