error on sign up activation on paypal prepaid debit

bought a prepaid card tonight and upon attempting to activate that i received a error stating i needed to put my birthdate in a different format 

actually here is the error message

You have encountered the following error(s):

• Invalid Date of Birth. Date of Birth should be in MM/DD/YYYY format.
