What is PayPal Key?

Today in the android app there was a new notification that encouraged me to get my PayPal Key, it said it was a way to pay with PayPal on sites that do not have a PayPal button I think. I went and did the other tasks I opened the app to do, and when I came back to the main app screen the notification was gone. With a quick search I haven't seen anything online about this, does anyone know what it was?

Turns out it is similar to the debit card you can get for your account, it is just a debit account that pulls from your PayPal account.
