Web link doesn't work anymore

My paypal.me/username/amount link no longer takes me to a page with said amount prefilled. It now takes me to a similar profile page with a Request / Send button and no amount. Why has this changed? It was much easier to request a predertimined amount by send the link with the amount already filled in.

Also having this problem, I find it to be a very quick and easy way to process payments and not being able to use it anymore is a hassle.  Whenever I click on other's links, it seems to be doing the same thing to me.

I confirm this is an issue, contrary to the instructions here:

Sadly, no. This very clever and practical method is not working on my end (Canada). Has Paypal disabled this Paypal.me feature?
