I personally believe that more users will use the paypal.me page if it hid personal information such as your full name and only kept the username. If you guys managed to do it with the location then I'm sure you can do it with the name as well. Not everyone is comfortable sharing their full name for transaction purposes, and I'm sure everyone will appreciate it.
