If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and did NOT log into your Paypal account then of course it won't show on that Paypal account because you bought as a 'guest buyer'.
However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.

If that is not the case then contact customer services AND your card issuer to query the transactions.

If you need to open a dispute for a 'guest buyer' transaction then you can.......

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will open one for you (difficult at the moment due to covid)
OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

Of course I took both of these actions before putting my question out to the community. Neither resolved the issue. I waited on hold on PayPal for 15 minutes the got a recording that said they could not help me by phone. My credit card company said they could file a fraud complaint but thought I would use the community before taking the most extreme action. Unfortunately your “solutions” did not solve my problem. This issue had taken about 90 minutes of my time to try to resolve and still it persists. I was also asked to fill out a survey and of course on the final question the submit button disappears!!

Well so sorry I gave up my time to try and help you then.

I gave you the FACTS, those are the ONLY ways you can open a dispute as a guest buyer.

If your card issuer won't help you and you can't get through to paypal no my problem, but.........you're welcome.

It seems there is frustration in your reply. I was simply sharing my experience with the process you described. Your response seems unnecessarily curt and unkind. Why do you respond to questions in the community if after just one attempt at helping someone, you get frustrated? You’re right, replying to these PayPal questions does seem like a waste of your time. Thanks for trying!

😂

One attempt at helping someone? Really?

You moan about your 'time' but don't even bother to leave a kudos for someone giving up their time to help you with the ONLY answer that is correct.

Most folks I help say thank you so don't hurry back now will you.

This is my first time ever asking a question to “the community”. I thought it was more like a text conversation. I have never done this before. Of course as we our conversation progressed I would have said, “Thank you for your time.” I didn’t realize that the conversation was a one reply-type thing. As I said I’ve never done this before. So, I apologize for not understanding how this works. I very much appreciate your help. Thank you. Btw, what is Kudos, is it an app I’m supposed to get?
