I have a question about paying this scam company PayPal off. A brief synopsis: somebody opened up a fraudulent account in my name to be specific a PayPal credit account in my name and put $450 worth of charges that I am responsible for. The so-called resolution department at PayPal scammers that they are would not resolve my dispute in my favor and is holding me responsible for the entire scammed amount of charges that was set up fraudulently in my name. To make a long story short I was able to contact two of the three merchants who might never did any business with and they were able to identify the orders and resolve them by offering me a credit which brought my total balance from $450 down to $15 only.

Another problem with this scam outfit PayPal is there is absolutely no way to reach them. They do not answer their phones and you cannot contact them directly. There is no way to message them even as I spent several hours trying to navigate their website and when using the "contact us" link or the message link it just brings me to a bunch of already predetermined questions that are not relevant to my situation so they spin you around in a circle without any way to reach them directly.

So here's my question. Because I do not trust PayPal and because they are a scam operation the other worrying thing I noticed is that the only way that they offered to pay the bill which in my case is only $15 is to actually link a checking account of mine with the routing number to them. This is a very dangerous way to pay a bill because once they have your routing number and your checking account number they can wipe out your account. I have a very large account and I do not trust them to be blunt. They may accidentally on purpose remove $1500 rather than $15 and then trying to get it back will be impossible because unlike a credit card payment it cannot be disputed once the money is removed from your checking account. Due to the distrust I have for this outfit PayPal I was wondering if anyone in the community knows how to pay the $15 in my case the $15, other than linking a checking account? I would be willing to pay them by check by credit card any other way than giving them a very personal and unorthodox method of payment which is a checking account with the routing number.

With a legitimate outfit you would and should be able to pay by check to clear your balance, meaning writing a check on your own for the exact amount rather than letting them pull the money from your account. You should also be able to pay with alternative payment methods such as a credit card which is valid but again they don't seem to allow that. If there is no other way than to link my large checking account to this outfit I will simply not pay the $15 and let them send it to the credit reporting agencies which is to me a less dangerous then giving them full access to my banking account information/checking account information.

Since this no way to reach this PayPal group by phone, by email or in any other manner including chat by the way (I've tried for days now), I've had to reach out to the community which is a ridiculous way to handle an issue as the company themselves should be able to field questions but they don't. I would advise anybody reading this post to never ever open up a PayPal credit line with this very corrupt and dishonest group.
