on my bank statement it says i've paid for my item

on my bank statement it says i,ve paid by paypal for my item i ordered but on paypal it says its still pending why is that .

Could be one of two reasons.

1.

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.

2.

If its marked as pending / unclaimed with or without a cancel option then double check the email address you sent the payment to and make sure there wasn't any spelling errors.
