Transaction on hold but I’m not a seller!

My account was changed to me being a seller instead of just being able to use my account for personal use and now a payment I was supposed to receive is on hold due to PayPal seeing me as a “new seller making their first shipment”. I didn’t ship anything out and I don’t have a tracking number to show or anything. I really needed that money and now I feel so **bleep** and I don’t understand why I can’t seem to just be able to change my account back to whatever it was as before. I haven’t been able to email support either because when I choose which transaction I’m having trouble with, it keeps saying that I’ve received the payment but I haven’t because it’s still on hold. I can’t wait 3-7 days or 21 days or however long it says it’ll be to receive it /: does anyone know what I can do?

Its nothing to do with your account type, you can 'sell' on a personal OR a business account, you just use a personal account if you are not a registered business or don't want the extra features of that type of account.

If your funds are on hold then >>>

Its down to how the payment was SENT to your account.

1. If they sent using money > goods / services option then paypal would see you as a seller and apply the new seller hold. They would also charge you a fee.

2. If they had sent using the send money > family / friends option then you would have had the payment instantly with no fee. (However that option is not available in every country).

There are however some occasions where friends / family payments are held for reviews but these are normally only 24 hours.

Tho I too just have a personal account, PayPal is saying I am a seller ~ the money sent to me By My Children To Help Me, is having money taken out of it as If I am a seller.

very frustrating. And I definitely could use that money.
